Salma M. Abdou, M.S., LMHC, LPC
Serving the Muslim Community with Compassionate, Culturally Aligned Care
At Mind Soul, we believe healing begins when the mind is heard and the soul is held.
Founded on compassion, cultural awareness, and clinical care, this is a space where your story is honored, your identity is respected, and your healing is nurtured.
As a therapist, a woman, and a daughter of culture, I’ve cultivated this practice from my roots—with intention, warmth, and a deep belief that every story deserves a soft landing.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships, or simply seeking a safe place to grow, you are welcome here.
This is more than just a practice—this is where the mind and soul meet.

Hawaa Aly, M.S., LMHC-LP
Empowering Healing Through Story, Culture, and Connection
As a native New Yorker and a proud graduate of Long Island University Brooklyn, where I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, I bring over six years of experience in social work and care coordination within nonprofit settings. My work has centered on compassionately connecting individuals and families to the vital resources and support systems they need, with cultural sensitivity at the heart of everything I do.
Fluent in Arabic and deeply attuned to the role of cultural identity and family dynamics, Hawaa specializes in narrative therapy, helping clients reclaim and reshape their personal stories. Hawaa's therapeutic foundation is rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches, allowing for deep exploration while honoring the unique lived experiences of each person I work with.
Hawaa is a dedicated Mental Health Counselor with a strong background in addiction and substance use counseling, bringing empathy and expertise to those navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. With a deep commitment to holistic, client-centered care, she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals develop healthier coping strategies, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Above all, Hawaa strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life's complexities and begin the journey toward healing and self-understanding.
